Audemars Piguet

"The maison that made steel a luxury material."

History

Founded by Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet in the Vallée de Joux, AP remained a niche complicationist until Gérald Genta's Royal Oak (1972) — a stainless-steel sports watch priced higher than gold dress watches of the era. It is now one of the most coveted luxury sport watches.
